What the Extension Does
The iLoveWatermark Chrome Extension adds a one-click watermark removal button directly inside gemini.google.com and aistudio.google.com. Instead of downloading the watermarked image and then uploading it to a web tool, you click one button and get a clean PNG downloaded directly to your computer.
All processing happens locally — your images never leave your browser.
Installation
1. Go to the Chrome Web Store and search for iLoveWatermark
2. Click "Add to Chrome"
3. Confirm the permissions prompt — the extension needs access to Gemini and AI Studio tabs to inject the button, and "downloads" permission to save your cleaned image
4. The extension icon (✨) will appear in your Chrome toolbar
First Use
1. Navigate to gemini.google.com or aistudio.google.com
2. Generate an image as you normally would
3. Hover over any generated image — you'll see a "✨ Remove Watermark" button appear
4. Click it
5. A clean PNG file will be downloaded automatically as ilovewatermark.png
That's it. The full-resolution image is processed and saved in under 2 seconds.
Managing Your Usage
Click the iLoveWatermark icon in the Chrome toolbar to open the popup. It shows:
- Your current plan (Free or Lifetime)
- How many free uses you've used (out of 2)
- Option to activate Lifetime Access with a purchase email
Free Tier
The free tier gives you 2 image removals shared across the Chrome extension and the ilovewatermark.com web tool. So if you use 1 on the website, you have 1 remaining in the extension.
Lifetime Access
For $4.99 (one-time), you get unlimited removals on both the website and the extension, forever. After purchasing on ilovewatermark.com, enter your purchase email in the extension popup to activate it.
Permissions Explained
The extension requests these permissions:
No browsing history, no other tab content, no personal data is ever read.
Troubleshooting
Button not appearing?Refresh the Gemini page after installing the extension. If it still doesn't appear, check that the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions.
"Load timeout" error? This can happen if the Gemini image URL takes too long to load. Try clicking the button again — it retries automatically.
Usage counter seems wrong?Usage is tracked by an anonymous device fingerprint. If you use a different browser profile or clear storage, the counter may reset. Lifetime Access solves this since it's tied to your purchase email.
Download goes to wrong folder? The file saves to your default Chrome downloads folder. You can change this in Chrome Settings → Downloads.
