The short version
1. Who We Are
iLoveWatermark is operated by an independent developer and accessible at ilovewatermark.com. We provide a web-based tool and Chrome browser extension to remove Gemini AI watermarks from images.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address. This is used to identify your account, send transactional emails, and link your Lifetime Access purchase to your account.
2.2 Payment Information
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never receive or store your credit card number, CVV, or billing address — only a Stripe customer ID and transaction status to confirm your purchase.
2.3 Anonymous Usage Data
To enforce the free tier (2 free image removals), we generate an anonymous device fingerprint stored in your browser's local storage. This fingerprint is not tied to any personal identity and is used solely to count usage.
2.4 Images
We never upload, store, or transmit your images to any server. All watermark removal processing happens entirely within your browser. Your images remain on your device at all times.
2.5 Log Data
Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically collects standard server log data including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps — for security and diagnostics only, never for advertising.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To process your Lifetime Access purchase and verify your plan
- To enforce usage limits on the free tier
- To send transactional emails (purchase receipts, account notices)
- To diagnose technical issues and improve the service
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral tracking, or profiling. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails.
4. Cookies & Local Storage
We use minimal cookies and browser storage:

6. Data Retention
We retain your account data (email, plan status) for as long as your account exists. If you request deletion, we'll remove your personal data within 30 days — except payment records required for tax compliance (retained 7 years by law).
Anonymous fingerprint data is retained for up to 1 year to prevent abuse of the free tier.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any right, email privacy@ilovewatermark.com. We will respond within 30 days.
8. Chrome Extension
- All image processing occurs locally within your browser
- Fingerprint and plan status stored in chrome.storage.local — never shared except to check usage limits
- Accesses googleusercontent.com image URLs only to process images — no image data sent to our servers
- Does not read browsing history, other tab content, or personal data
9. Security
We implement HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, secure storage with Supabase row-level security, and no storage of sensitive payment information. No internet transmission is 100% secure, but we take reasonable precautions.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of iLoveWatermark after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
